Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting career after enrolment at Stanford University. In her early career, she had roles in movies like Pleasantville and Election. It is Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a important turning point. Witherspoon was awarded the Academy Award in 2005 for her part in Walk the Line. In the following years, she was a part of several shows on television, such as House of Lies Whitney, Better Call Saul and The Invisible Man. Also, she was in the films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. She is a talented artist, and has also exhibited in several galleries.
