Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin' However A Number debuted in 1994. Her album, which was launched when she was only fifteen years old it went Gold. The group's collaboration heavily in the direction of R. Kelly's musical style, brought her into the spotlight. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the top-selling single. Following the release of this work Aaliyah received international recognition for her work as an R&B singer. The year 2000 saw her appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. In 2002 she got to appear in the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of The Anne Rice novel. In 2003, she appeared as a character in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She received four Grammy nominations in 2001, 1999, 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann is born of Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. Mann is a contraction of her married final name Mankad. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn for her professional names. Although her early professional career was mostly dominated by small films and television parts, she gained notoriety in the late 2000s. Other notable works she has done include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She has appeared in numerous commercials including Volvo's international car manufacturer. The actress currently resides at Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting profession.
