Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. She is the current president as well as the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and was raised as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon before becoming the proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she was appointed the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. The position she held was president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over ownership of the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling an equal vote. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns a co-owned business Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotion company that is based in Los Angeles.
